Hello! My name is Colin Kingdon Bayer, and I am an aspiring creative. I recently graduated from Emerson college with a degree in film, and while there I focused on video editing and production.
Through both my education as well as my own professional and personal projects I have acquired a well rounded set of skills and experiences. These have helped to accomplish many of my storytelling goals, and in the future I know they will allow me to accomplish even more.
Examples of said skills include: proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud Ecosystem, Apple Pro Apps, and Avid Software, Camera operation for video and photography, lighting and sound recording operation, Social media Skills, and script writing familiarity. I would also say that I have a quick, creative mind, and a recognition for the wonderfully unorthodox.
In the short term I hope to get my FAA part 107 (commercial drone operation license), my AASI level 1 certification (beginner snowboard instructor certification), my motorcycle license (permission to operate a motorized two or three wheeled vehicle, and to build my first watch (a device worn on the wrist that measures passage of time).
In the future I hope to be able to take all my skills and put them to use for a brand in the outdoor industry. I would love to be able to use my talents to help spread awareness of the lifestyle that has given so much to me.
Originally from Washington D.C., I have now also lived in West Virginia, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California. I am an avid snowboarder, rock climber, skater, and hiker. I'm also very passionate about music, particularly surf, indie, and punk (see music recommendation page 👀).
